MAN VS WOMAN!!!

GOD says...
When I created the heavens and the earth, I spoke them into being. When I created man, I formed him and breathed life into his nostrils. But you, woman, I fashioned after I breathed the breath of life into man because your nostrils are too delicate. I allowed a deep sleep to come over him so I could patiently and perfectly fashion you.
Man was put to sleep so that he could not interfere with the creativity. From one bone I fashioned you. I chose the bone that protects man's life. I chose the rib, which protects his heart and lungs and supports him, as you are meant to do.
Around this one bone I shaped you. I modeled you. I created you perfectly and beautifully. Your characteristics are as the rib, strong yet delicate and fragile. You provide protection for the most delicate organ in man, his heart. His heart is the center of his being; his lungs hold the breath of life. The rib cage will allow itself to be broken before it will allow damage to the heart.
Support man as the rib cage supports the body. You were not taken from his feet, to be under him, nor were you taken from his head, to be above him. You were taken from his side, to stand beside him and be held close to his side. You are my perfect angel. You are my beautiful little girl. You have grown to be a splendid woman of excellence, and my eyes fill when I see the virtue in your heart. Your eyes -- don't change them. Your lips -- how lovely when they part in prayer. Your nose so perfect in form, your hands so gentle to touch.
I've caressed your face in your deepest sleep; I've held your heart close to mine. Of all that lives and breathes, you are the most like me.
Adam walked with me in the cool of the day and yet he was lonely. He could not see me or touch me. He could only feel me. So everything I wanted Adam to share and experience with me, I fashioned in you: my holiness, my strength, my purity, my love, my protection and support.
You are special because you are the extension of me. Man represents my image -- woman, my emotions. Together, you represent the totality of God.
So man -- "treat woman well. Love her, respect her, for she is fragile". In hurting her, you hurt me. What you do to her, you do to me. In crushing her, you only damage your own heart, the heart of your Father and the heart of her Father. Woman, support man. In humility, show him the power of emotion I have given you. In gentle quietness show your strength. In love, show him that you are the rib that protects his inner self.

MY TAKE:
We are all the children of God. We are human beings. I really dont like to differentiate between man or woman. But sadly in today's society man has all the power. Even now in many places in India birth of a boy is rejoiced and birth of a girl is a grievous affair. Why? Why even now a girl has to fight to live in this world? Why is she treated below a boy? A girl might be 100 times more efficient from a guy but still she will not be, in many cases, considered good enough! Why? Why a girl wearing "sexy" clothes be termed a slut? Why the number of rape cases in girls far exceed the rape cases in boys? Why a girl is supposed to learn to behave in an "APPROPRIATE" way and the man well he's allowed to order her, beat her, rape her? Why the cases of domestic violence are still on an increase? Why the hell it is so?
I am a girl and i am so tired of these so called customs this power hungry struggle. I refuse to be treated like a slave I refuse to be treated any less than a boy I refuse to behave appropriately to dress appropriately why should I? When these men who rape these men who abuse these men who play should be learning the etiquettes!
My blog is focussed on the issue of sexual abuse but i figured that no amount of information about this will make a change until the basic questions are answered , until whole freedom is given to females , until man and woman are treated as equals!

RELIGIOUS PROSTITUTION! REALLY???

Prostitution is not a concept of today. Its a seed born in ancient times that now has grown into a hideous tree with its branches all over the humanity. One aspect of prostitution or really its an excuse for this crime a type of it decorated in beautiful clothes is religious prostitution.

Religious prostitution as the name suggests is the prostitution carried in the name of religions. An ugly disguise!
Few examples of this distasteful custom are as follow-
(the following content is taken from various sources on internet)

in Babylon, every women rich and poor, had to prostitute themselves in the temples of Mylitta, Ishtar, and Astarte with a foreigner as a sign of hospitality. The money they earned was donated as wages to the goddess.

Similarly in Cyprus, all women had to prostitute themselves, before they married, to strangers in the sanctuary of Aphrodite, and Astarte. The same was true with in Phoenician temples. Women here prostituted themselves believing that their services would appease the goddess and win her favor.

In the ancient city of Heliopolis in Syria, there was a law that stated that every maiden should prostitute herself to strangers at the temple of Astarte. In Armenia the noblest families dedicated their daughters to the service of the goddess Anaitis in her temple at Acilisena. The unmarried women acted as prostitutes for a long time before they were given in marriage. Not a single man was supposed hesitate to take one of these girls as wife when her period of service was over.

Religious prostitution was a part of the religion in Canaan too. The history states that a significant proportion of religious prostitutes were males. Another interesting fact is that male prostitutes during that time and place usually served men, not women. The sexual practice in the name of religion in Canaan, prolonged until the intervention of great prophets like Hosea and Ezekiel. A part of Ammonite tradition states that, a bride would sit at the gates of a town before the wedding, and sleep with whomever came to the city.

In Eastern Islam, where there are more males than females, the young girls who remain unmarried and offer themselves to men are looked upon as public benefactors. In Egypt, holy men or Priests walked naked in the midst of a woman crowd. Women who desire to have children knelt before them, then the priest would seize a woman and cohabit with her in the public street. No rancour was felt for the act by anybody, indeed, the victim considered it a great blessing and her companions congratulate her on having been selected by the "representative of God."

And finally in India the infamous devdasi tradition. Young girls were married to gods or deities and were supposed to sacrifice. Almost all temples had this tradition. Earlier these girls used to be just dancers in the temples who devoted themselves to God and without caring for the world danced madly in love. But later this custom changed for worse and these girls had to satisfy the sexual desire of the men who came craving for it. . Karnataka , Madras (Chennai) , Andhra pradesh and many other cities in southern India still follow it. The government of India banned this practice but even now an approximate of 5000 girls are pushed in this ritual every year.

MY TAKE:

I feel its time to let go of these wrong traditions. No religion should have ever allowed this practice
to flourish and we can not undo the past but now its time to shed off these ugly dressings.
Sex is a personal act. its not a duty not an obligation not a sacrifice. Any god would never allow
a person, man or woman, to be disgraced as such. We live in a hypocrite world but let us do
away with this.Come on people these girls are younger than you or me.
Would you have wanted to live a life like this? having sex with strangers in name of
God? Doesn't everyone deserve a chance to
make their own mind, decisions, life? Nobody has a right over one's life.We are born free People
who made these customs remember they were humans like us they were not God incarnated..
They carry these traditions generation after generation but the truth is they do not have balls to
change or to stop. Its too good for their convenience. Free sex!
It disgusts me that a person is insulted like
this. It should disgust you too. Some people who justify it by saying "kalyug hai kya kar sakte hai"
Well all i have to say to them kalyug or not you live in the very same world if it happened with
them God forbid it can happen with you too!

prostitution: a glimpse in the sex world

Prostitution literally means selling sex for money. This industry has its roots in each country and is spreading deeply. It is one of the most intense and cruel areas of international criminal activities. In India like various other places in world , one of the main reason for its growth is poverty. Women involved in this industry are either poor , deserted by their husbands , widowed , sold by the menfolks in their homes , or simply they are carrying on the family customs , its funny that this ugly deed is carried on even in names of gods!!! Apparently many religions allow it and thinks that these women who are slave to their own bodies are devotees of god!
Since time immemorial, men has enjoyed the service of these women who's only jobs were to satisfy the rich and the greedy. Very few people before going to them for the pleasure wonder about the plight of these women or men or simply girls. Many of the teen girls are smaller than their own daughters but when they come to a brothel all they ask for "k0i fresh maal aaya hai" A girl is simply reduced to a commodity.
In a recent bollywood flick a dialogue was banned because it was considered "offensive" i might be paraphrasing over here but it went something like this
"yaha goa mein sharab sasti ladkiyan usse bhi sasti..."
Its true not only for Goa but most of the places in the world .
In this industry a symbol of love is reduced to cash a natural phenomenon is nothing more than few rupees , a person has a value and that value is cheaper than a whisky bottle!
